THE West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is reviewing what’s being called a ’side letter’ from Chris Gayle in relation to his being currently locked out of the Windies team. A press release from the WICB outlined that a CARICOM-brokered agreement was reached and the said ’side letter’ is being reviewed.
“The Board was advised that Mr. Chris Gayle has signed the CARICOM-brokered agreement but with a ‘side letter’ from Mr. Gayle. Prime Minister, The Hon. Dr Ralph Gonsalves provided a copy of Mr Gayle’s ‘side letter’. The matter was discussed and the Board will respond to the Hon. Prime Minister shortly.”
