THE teenager who surrendered to Police one day after he, allegedly, fatally stabbed another, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, charged with murder. The case was called in-camera and particulars of the offence said the 17-year-old murdered Anfermee Bowman on February 27 and he was remanded in Police custody until March 21.
The accused was represented by attorney-at-law Mr. Mark Waldron.
Prior to the Court appearance, it was reported that the victim and his assailant had a misunderstanding shortly after leaving the place, in Aubrey Barker Street, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, where they both took lessons.
The stabbing, with an ice-pick occurred about 18:30hrs and one wound pierced Bowman’s heart. He was rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) but pronounced dead on arrival.
