THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) has indicated that the telephone service at its Brickdam Station, Georgetown is in working order, including the emergency 911 system. The GPF telephone service went down on Monday after continuous rainfall, coupled with high winds that uprooted a flamboyant tree along Manget Place and Brickdam, snapping both telephone and electricity lines.
Service was restored after the roadway was cleared and the utility companies had rectified the problems on Monday afternoon.
