ON Monday July 29, 2019, Senior Magistrate, Leron Daly, remanded a thirty two-year-old vendor accused of destruction of property.
Mark Sampson, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that, on July 27, 2019, at South Sophia, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged two window panes valued at $14,000, and property of his ex-wife.
Police prosecutor, Christopher Morris, strongly objected to bail and told the court that Sampson was charged on several occasions.
Attorney-at-law Clyde Forde told the court that his client was nowhere around the incident and he was trying his best to stay away from the virtual complainant. Attorney Forde’s application for bail on Sampson’s behalf was denied.
Senior Magistrate Leron Daly remanded Sampson to prison and adjourned the matter until July 31, 2019.
