A THIRTY-two-year-old Police Constable was found unconscious early Monday morning and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing severe injuries to the head.
According to a police press release, Police Constable # 24045 Winston Cooper of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is a member of the Presidential Guard.

He was found with injuries to the head at about 05:30hrs on the Mandela Avenue Public Road. Police said they did not know the details surrounding the incident and a “further update will be given later as no other detail is available at this time but the Guyana Police Force prays for his recovery.”

An investigation has been launched into the matter.
