AT least 10 persons, among them a member of staff of the Guyana Publications Limited, publishers of the Stabroek News newspapers, were injured late yesterday during a collision between a car and a minibus at the junction of Camp and Lamaha Streets.
According to the Online publication, demerarawaves, eyewitnesses said the car, PKK 8391, which is contracted to Stabroek News, was heading east along Lamaha Street, while the bus was headed north on Camp and trying to beat the amber light.
In the course of the collision, the car reportedly spun out of control and ploughed into a utility pole, injuring both the driver and his passenger, while the minibus mowed down a traffic light before plunging head-long into the Lamaha Street canal.
