$3,000 fine, six months community service for marijuana

CHEVY Seaforth (no address given) was, yesterday, fined $3,000 and ordered to do three months community service, for being in possession of cannabis (marijuana). Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry imposed the penalty on him after he pleaded guilty to the November 24 offence.
He admitted having two grammes of the narcotic and told the court he was going to smoke it.
Seaforth will do the community service at Alberttown Police Station in Georgetown.
