LONGSTANDING cycling administrator John Lewis was re-elected president of the Flying Ace Cycle Club (FACC) for the third consecutive term when the club held its annual general meeting (AGM) recently at the Skeldon Community Centre, Upper Corentyne.
Meanwhile, club founder and coach Randolph Roberts is the first vice-president, while prominent Attorney-at-Law Murseline Bacchus is second vice-president.
Margaret Kuma retains her post as club secretary with Roberts doubling up as the treasurer, former national female cycling champion Marica Dick is assistant secretary.
The committee members are Rawle Felix, Fizal Ally, Pearl Arokium and Neil Reece.
Arguably Berbice leading cyclist, Balram Narine, was re-elected the club captain.
The executives are expected to meet shortly to plan the list of activities for the new year.
Among the club’s annual awardees is Balram Narine who is the top cyclist while Jeremiah Joseph is the top junior rider with Mario Washington the runner-up. Maria Carrington will be rewarded for her exploits in the female category while veteran rider Syborne Fernandes has been recognised as the best in his category.
