A TWO-DAY Christmas Festival and Business Fair will be held at Rosignol Village West Bank Berbice in Region Five (Mahaica/Berbice) today and tomorrow
The event is being staged by the Region Five Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CIC).

President of the CIC,Imran Saccoor said that it aims at ushering in the festivity of the season in West Berbice.

It is also intended to give Rosignol and the neighbouring community of D’Edward a jump start in commercial activities for the season, and at the same time provide an opportunity for consumers in West Berbice and further afield to enjoy bargain prices and discounts from the businesses in the area.
The event is slated to open with a ceremony tonight at 18:30 hrs at the Rosignol Mall Square with a Christmas concert.
There will also be a Christmas parade moving through the community afterwards to offer children entertainment, goodies and to “excite the atmosphere”.
There will be a food zone, a children’s play zone vending and music and much more to enjoy.
The commercial activities will commence today and continue until tomorrow.

Stores will be offering massive discounts from 10-40 per cent off selected items. Promotional offers will also be available from various companies.

Saccoor said that the Region Five CIC is inviting interested persons and companies to get on board with the upcoming Christmas Festival and Business Fair, since vending booths and spots are still available.

A similar Christmas Festival and Business Fair was held at Rosignol during the Christmas season of 2017 and was declared a success by both vendors and consumers.
