KENNARD Bobb (no address given) was remanded to prison yesterday, by Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, on a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm. He is charged, indictably, with having committed the October 23 offence on Catherine Hughes, his reputed wife.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail for the accused, stating that he is in the habit of abusing the virtual complainant.
The prosecutor said, that day, the couple had an argument and he picked up a cutlass, to which she held on and he pulled the blade from her hands, resulting in Hughes suffering cuts on her fingers.
Bobb will make his next court appearance on November 4.
