A MAN was caught red-handed in the act of committing bestiality (having sex) with a cow calf at Leonora, West Coast Demerara on Monday morning.
The community policing group promptly arrested and handed him over to authorities at the Leonora Police Station, where he is currently detained for questioning.
Residents of Leonora allege that the middle-aged supermarket employee had been committing the act regularly; and although caught by animal owners on several occasions, no consequence had ever previously flowed from his actions.
“He would normally catch people animal and do this! And this morning he was caught red-handed committing the act! He was arrested and taken to the Leonora Police Station by the community policing group,” one man related to this newspaper.
Speaking on the residents’ behalf, he pleaded with the authorities to look into the matter, since persons are becoming more threatened by the man’s presence in the community.

“One time he do this thing to a man dog and he killed the dog; and he compensated the man $10,000,” the man continued.

While the suspect is still in police custody, members of the community are seeking assistance from higher authorities to deal with the situation “lawfully”.
