A joint operation  between the Guyana Police Force, the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Coast Guard has led to the seizure of a gun and ammunition aboard  a cargo vessel at the Pomeroon River mouth on Friday.

Reports are that the captain and bowman were to the Charity Police Station following their arrest.

Police investigations are are ongoing.
