GCA competitions resume

FOLLOWING the successful hosting of their Queensway Open Cup competition, the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) is wasting no time in having their member clubs compete in tournaments run under their stewardship, as they commence two more competitions this weekend. The GCA/Carib Beer/Friends of Cricket Heroes Cup bowls off at 09:30hrs on Saturday and Sunday, between Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) and Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) at the Everest Cricket Club ground, with Hortence Isaacs and Cyril Garnath being the umpires in charge.
In the Noble House Seafoods-sponsored second division competition, MSC and GYO will clash at GYO with Reginald Grant and Anthony Ramsahoye officiating while at the University of Guyana (UG) ground, the home team and Transport Sports Club will do battle under the guidance of Montgomery Chester and Delvin Austin. Both matches will commence at 1030hrs.
