THE Fruta Conquerors Football Club-organised Milo U-23 football competition will officially kick off today at the Tucville football ground in what is expected to be an evening of intriguing football with a scheduled triple-header. Kick-off time is 17:00hrs, with the opening match being contested between the Guyana Police Force and Beacons United, followed by the Guyana Defence Force (GDF)/Flamingo Football Club encounter at 19:00hrs. The night wraps up with the host club taking on Santos at 21:00hrs.
This competition will feature twelve clubs in Georgetown vying for top honours, with $100 000 going to the victorious team.
According to a press release from the host club, they are looking at the further development of youths in Georgetown, hence the coordinating of this competition which is sponsored by M. Beepat and Sons Limited through its Milo sports supplement drink.
