A Honda CG motorcycle bandit was captured after he robbed a businesswoman of almost $5M on Monday morning while she was heading to a bank on the East Bank of Demerara.

His accomplice, who was the pillion rider , escaped  with the bag of cash.

Reports indicate that the woman, who operates a gas station located at the Soesdyke Junction, EBD left in the company of colleagues with the cash and later made a stop on the Land of Canaan public road to deliver an invoice to another business when she was attacked by the two motorcycle  bandits.

One of the bandits held the woman at gunpoint before grabbing the bag of money from inside her car.

He then dashed over to the waiting motorcycle and fled the scene. One of the men was later apprehended by the police.
