THE Child Care and Protection Agency and the police in ‘G’ Division, Essequibo Coast, are investigating reports of the rape of a 10-year-old girl at Hampton Court.

The child was hospitalised, but has since been released and is in the care of her aunts. Her father was held, but was later released on bail.

Reports indicate that the mother and father of the child separated several years ago.
