Case adjourned to July 28, no witnesses called
THE preliminary inquiry (PI) into the murder charge against the 19-year-old woman accused of stabbing her lesbian lover to death continued yesterday before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. Tiffany Clark, of Lot 67 Hunter Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, had been previously remanded to prison in February, charged with unlawfully killing Zenobia James.
The case was adjourned to July 28, and no witnesses were called to testify. No reasons were given as to why the case was given an adjournment date.
On the last occasion, prosecutor Stephen Telford indicated that he has eight witnesses.
Debra Leander, mother of the deceased, was called as the first witness and she was also cross-examined by defence counsel George Thomas when the PI first commenced.
