THREE persons were late Sunday killed and four others seriously injured when the truck they were travelling in turned over at Matthews Ridge, North West District, according to a Demerara Waves report.
An eyewitness at the scene told Demerara Waves
( www.demwaves.com ) that a ‘bush truck’ was fetching wood and several persons when the driver lost control around a turn about 17:30hrs.
The dead are a father and son as well as another man. No names of the dead or injured were immediately available. The four persons sustained bruises and other injuries about their bodies and were rushed to the Matthews Ridge hospital. They are all adults.
The eyewitness said the accident occurred about five minutes away from the Matthews Ridge airstrip.
