Wife drops assault case against husband, says ‘we love each other’

PHILLIP Chance had an assault case against him dismissed yesterday after his wife told the court that they love each other.
Chance pleaded not guilty, before Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan, to the charge which stated that, on May 14, he assaulted Susan Hudord at their Zeelugt, West Coast Demerara residence.

When the virtual complainant was asked the reason why she refused to give evidence against the defendant, she shyly said, “I love him and he loves me.”
They both were ordered to pay court cost of $5,000 each.
