GuyanaNRA pays courtesy call on Minister of Sport

THE GuyanaNRA paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Minister Dr George Norton, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport recently.
The Honorary Secretary Ryan Sampson along with Fullbore captain Mahendra Persaud, paid the courtesy call on behalf of the GuyanaNRA and updated the new Sport Minister on the upcoming 150th Anniversary Shoot in October.
The status of the preparations of the ranges, the arrival of participants and accommodation and the intensity of the team training were discussed.
The minister was also told of the planned Kaieteur Falls tour that the participants have booked and will experience. This formed part of the sports tourism that the Association pushed when the participants were invited.
The Honorary Secretary stated that this will contribute directly to the economic aspect of our country’s tourism community.
Minister Norton has graciously accepted an invitation from Fullbore captain Mahendra Persaud, to be at the opening ceremony of the Championship, the presentation and the dinner ceremony that will follow.
The minister was pleased with the update and further committed on assisting with transportation for the championship. The Fullbore contenders plan to test and train with the recently arrived Hornady ammunition today and tomorrow in preparation for the Championship.
