Charges imminent in Bartica fatal accident

THE driver of the motor car that collided with now dead Marcy Ayana Garraway is still assisting police with investigations and charges are likely to be laid shortly, as both individuals were reportedly speeding at the time of the accident. A police officer at Bartica did not disclose the name of the driver of the car, but reported to the Chronicle yesterday, via telephone, that charges are imminent. However, the cop could not say what charges would be laid.
Garraway, 28, of Lot 114 Third Avenue, Bartica, was reportedly heading to the ‘Regatta’ on her motorcycle when she met her demise last Sunday. Her nephew, who escaped death, was the pillion rider on the motorcycle.
According to reports, the dead woman was riding along Ninth Street when her motorcycle was struck by motor car PJJ 9791.
Garraway was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bartica Hospital.
