AFTER successfully hosting four Fireside Chat and Networking forums, Startup Grind Georgetown will be hosting another exciting networking forum in the form of a social next Saturday.
In an interview with the Guyana Chronicle, Startup Grind Georgetown Research and Professional Development Coordinator Rosanna Ferreira said the event is aimed at bringing together entrepreneurs and even investors from various fields.
“We want everyone to come and be a part of this movement. If you are a well-established entrepreneur, come share your experience with us,” Ferreira said.
“If you are an upcoming entrepreneur, come and learn from the experiences of others. Despite your specialty, I am sure there will be an opportunity for you to network,” she added.
The event will be held at WeOwn Space in South Ruimveldt from 17:00hrs next Saturday, and among those expected to be present are entrepreneurs, ICT specialists, investors and private sector representatives.
Startup Grind would have started with their first event in March of this year with the past speakers being Eldon Marks, Norma Daniels, Sonia Noel, and Rosh Khan, who motivated their audience with their stories of both success and failures.
“Over the last past four months, Startup Grind Georgetown created a platform for successful entrepreneurs in various fields to share their life stories with budding entrepreneurs. These inspirational stories have had positive influences on the lives of many. And we cannot forget the networking aspect of the events, which remains a critical element of the entire movement,” the coordinator explained.
Startup Grind’s aim is to have fireside chats, whereby persons can come and be able to network with each other.
According to Nevin Johnson, the Chapter’s Information Analyst, the organisation’s core value is for them to give first, take last and to make friends. Startup Grind’s primary goal is to raise awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities within the local environment.
