Canada High Commissioner wins GBTI Medal Play golf tourney

CANADIAN High Commissioner Francois Montour was triumphant in the   GBTI sponsored Medal Play golf tournament at Lusignan Golf Club Saturday.
Montour playing off an 18 handicap shot an impressive net 63 from a gross 81 to win by four strokes from a field of 40 players.
William Walker (8 handicap) copped the second position and the Best Gross with a net 67 from a gross 75.
Third place went to European Union, diplomat, Albert Russell who shot a net 68 from a gross 87 playing off a 19 handicap.
Muntaz Hanif was Nearest to the Pin at number 8 hole.
GBTI Customer Care and Business Development Officer Roma Narayan-Singh outlined the bank’s involvement in community activities and promoted some of the services offered by the financial institution.
GBTI’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Tracey who also participated in the tournament presented gifts to four players Chatterpaul Deo, Dr. Ram Singh, Andre Cummings and Patrick Prashad who are regular customers of the bank.
Female players Christine Sukhram and Joaan Deo also received prizes.
Walker, Lusignan Golf Club Secretary thanked GBTI for being a major sponsor of the club and expressed appreciation to Tracey and staff for their support.
In addition, the Bank’s Administrative Manager Sheldon Noel was also present at the prize giving ceremony.
Meanwhile, the LGC’s Annual General Meeting will take place this Saturday starting at 17:00 hrs following a club tournament.
High on the Agenda will be the Secretary and Treasurer reports and the election of a Management Committee.
