I’M a Guyanese national who is an American citizen. I returned to Guyana for Christmas last year (2010). The reason for this letter is that I travel to Asia (Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai & Singapore) for my job in the United States.
I came to Guyana with several thousand Hong Kong dollars but was unable to convert any of this currency to Guyana dollars.
Now, Guyana has several, if not hundreds, of Asian businesses and not one bank can convert the Hong Kong currency to Guyana dollars?  This is unacceptable.
