IT was an afternoon of elegance and exuberance, when The New Thriving Restaurant collaborated with the Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts to host another fascinating Tea Party and Fashion Show at its Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD) location.
The Tea Party and Fashion Show dubbed “A Tribute to Mothers,” saw mothers from all walks of life taking centre stage with their children as they displayed their fashions in their own way before approximately 200 persons.

Dr. Sonia Noel told the Guyana Chronicle that Saturday’s tribute to mothers forms part of the New Thriving Restaurant “Afternoon Delight, Tea and Fashion” string of events at its Providence location.
“Today is actually one of those afternoon delights with a special twist –- a tribute to mothers,” she posited, while explaining that on a monthly basis the restaurant would team up with her foundation to pull off a mega event promoting a wide variety of teas, cakes, sandwiches and pastries, in addition to fashion.

“Every day, you can also come between three and five and have like all of these delicacies with tea with one of your friends,” she added.
