ASEETA Granderson (no address given) was sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined $25,000 yesterday, for drug trafficking.
She was found guilty, after a trial, by Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin, at Vreed-en-Hoop Court, of having 40 grammes of cannabis (marijuana) in her possession for the purpose on April 3, 2010, at Den Amstel, also on West Coast Demerara.
Police Sergeant Sherwin Matthews, prosecuting, said the convict was a first time offender.
