Two male passengers removed from Caribbean Airlines flight

Drama at CJIA…
– following  fight as to who should sit next to a female passenger

TWO male passengers on Caribbean Airlines Flight BW424, one heading for neighbouring Trinidad and the other New York, were yesterday afternoon removed from the plane following a fight between the two.
The two men, whose luggage was also removed from the aircraft, were subsequently detained at Cheddi Jagan International Airport Security Outpost before being transferred to the Timehri Police Station, according to a source.
The two men, believed to be friends as prior to checking in for the flight they were observed socializing at a popular restaurant close to the airport, reportedly had a disagreement on the plane as to who should sit next to a female passenger.
It has not been established whether the female is an acquaintance.
As a result of the disruption, the flight suffered a slight delay.
A source, however, told the Chronicle that the bigger of the two men in stature appeared to be the aggressor as the other complained that he threw water on him.
He reportedly bragged, too, that he did not mind staying back in Guyana because he loves the country.
