TWO teenagers are in police custody assisting with investigations into a robbery under arms committed on  Kickadai Sukhai, a 40-year-old businesswoman of Block ‘G’ Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara about 10:45h yesterday. Police, in a statement, said the woman operates a shop and was tending same when the suspects entered and requested two bottles of aerated drinks.
When being served, one of them reportedly pointed the gun at the woman and climbed through a small opening on the counter and opened a door for the other to enter the shop, where they stole cash totaling $34,200 dollars and some documents before making good their escape.
A report was made and ranks from the Grove/Diamond police station responded and chased after the suspects during which time they dropped a bag containing what turned out to be a toy gun. Police also recovered the booty on the suspects.
