168 cases listed for October sessions opening on Tuesday

THE October Criminal Sessions will open with the traditional ceremonial parade on Tuesday.
Two judges are assigned to the sessions — Justice  William Ramlal and Justice Winston Patterson.

Among the 168 cases listed to be heard are 40 for murder, 23 for manslaughter, 12 for wounding, 48 for carnal knowledge, 26 for rape, three for trafficking in narcotics and one for incest.
It is understood that one of the two judges assigned to the sessions is out of the jurisdiction and is not expected home before next week.
