DESIREE Jeffers, 58, of Parfait Harmonie Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara, was, yesterday, charged with the murder of her estranged reputed husband, interdicted Police Constable Igris Bobb-Blackman. The case was called before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin at Vreed-en-Hoop Court, West Coast Demerara, and particulars of the capital offence said it was committed on January 20.
The accused was remanded to prison until January 31.
The dead cop’s body was pulled out of septic tank in the Parfait Harmonie yard, last Thursday, wrapped in a coloured carpet and tied with rope.
The victim had been last seen alive on Wednesday when he went to that address, where Jeffers lives and the $12M property is the subject of a court case.
