THE Airport Grill, Sports Bar and Restaurant officially opened its doors to the public on Saturday afternoon, after a ribbon cutting ceremony, at Lot 34 Area ‘G’, Ogle, East Coast Demerara. The spacious, orange coloured building has convenient parking and security and, with its benabs, is an ideal ‘liming spot.’
The business is owned by Mr. Lloyd Singh, who told the media that there is a 50 percent service charge on all grilled foods and also caters for events such as weddings and birthday celebrations.
He said his concept is different and the added attractions include live bands, local menus and there is free wifi for browsing.
“I got the idea when I became quite fed up of visiting restaurants and only getting mostly Chinese dishes and never could get proper parking. I decided to open a place that offers Guyanese a leisure convenience and a hang out venue to have a drink and a meal,” he said.
The Airport Grill opens from 11:00h daily.
