Quadrangular Masters football in Berbice this weekend

… GFC and Patriarchs invited
A NUMBER of past outstanding footballers of the country will meet over the weekend in New Amsterdam (NA) where a Quadrangular Tournament will be staged by the Hearts of Oak Masters of NA.
The other teams invited to join the hosts for the two-day tournament are NA All Stars, GFC and Rastafari Patriarchs of the City.
The action will kick off at 13:00 h today when the Patriarchs clash with NA All Stars,  followed by GFC against Hearts of Oak.

Today’s play will conclude when the two Berbice sides switch opponents. Matches will be of two halves of twenty minutes each. The round-robin action will continue tomorrow from 13:00 h and culmimate with the grand final later in the day.
Among the Masters to be on show are: All Stars – Sam Jones (capt), Marlon DeSouza, Gavin Gibbons Stephon DeFlorimonte, Andre Best, Horace Adams and the Kellowan brothers; Hearts of Oak :- Sherwin Forde (capt), Brian Simpson, Eon Farley, Phillip Carrington, Nigel Felix and Kurt Alphonso; GFC – Peter Lashley (capt), Andrew Bright, Terrence Lewis, Dane Kendall, Jerry Quick and Floyd Gittens and Patriarchs :- Vibert Butts (capt), Lloyd Smith, Terry Plummer, Dexter McAuley, Clairmonte Lynch and Allan La Rose.
The Masters Tournament has received support from Triple S Taxi Service, Ali and Sons, Anthony Amerally, O’Neil  DeFlorimonte and the Benjamin brothers among the donors.
