Giftland on board K&S tournament for fifth time

FOR the fifth successive year Giftland OfficeMax found it fit to partner with the dynamic duo Greg ‘Kashif’ Muhammad and Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major, co-directors of the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation (K&S) for their 21st tournament which is set to kick off on the December 12. At a simple ceremony held in the sports showroom of the sponsors, Giftland’s Accounts Supervisor Theresa Narine handed over a cheque for an undisclosed sum to Muhammad in the presence of her company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ian Ramdheo and Marketing Manager Compton Babb.
In his brief remarks, Babb said his employer is always proud to be associated with sports in Guyana, more so the K&S Organisation who, for the past 21 years, have been giving the football-loving public in Guyana a special treat with their tournament.
“Giftland is always proud to be associated with sports in Guyana, especially football. For the past five years, we have been associated with the Kashif and Shanghai tournament, so this year is no different and I would like to take this opportunity to wish both organisers and players all the best for this tournament.
Muhammad thanked the sponsors for their continued support and promised that the tournament would be a memorable one, since the K&S Organisation has always tried to make the present tournament better than the previous ones. (Calvin Roberts)
