A Green Ice Taxi driver was almost beaten to death Tuesday night by carjackers who abandoned the car in Plum Park Sophia, Georgetown.

The driver of HC 6253 was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by police who were summoned to the area after residents noticed the car parked on the road the entire night.

Police have taken two residents into custody pending investigations.  Police said that the man’s car keys and phones along with other valuables were stolen.
