Brazilians, Guyanese robbed at Fulton Court

FIVE BRAZILIANS nationals and a Guyanese were attacked and robbed by three gunmen on Tuesday night at Fulton Court, Church and Irving Streets, Georgetown.
Police reported that at about 19:30 hrs Tuesday,  driver Carl Carlton, 31, of High Street, Georgetown, was about to enter an apartment when he was held at gunpoint by the three perpetrators and pushed into the room in which there were four Brazilian men and a woman.

They were all held up and robbed of six cell phones, jewellery, $440,000, US$1,050 and a laptop computer by the men who escaped in a waiting motor car.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, police are investigating an armed robbery committed on Sam’s Service Station at Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara, at about 22:00 hrs on Tuesday during which supervisor, Tazlim Nazadeen, was robbed of $611,000 by two men armed with handguns.
The victim was proceeding from his office to a motor vehicle when the robbers held him up and took away the cash and escaped, Police said.
