THE Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) has shortlisted 27 athletes for the 14th North American Regional Powerlifting Championships. These athletes will also be chosen to represent Guyana at the 9th North American Powerlifting Federation and 14th Caribbean Powerlifting Championships in St Croix in the US Virgin Islands.
The athletes on the list are: Navendra Tamessar, Daniel Sooklall, Dwayne Welch, Johnny Seecharran, Osmond Mack, Hardat Tarson, Rudolph Blackman. Paul Adams, Feroze Hussain, Nigel Phillips, Ravi Ramlochan, Marino Jeffrey, Erwyn Smith, Karel Mars, Fazim Abdool, Jagdesh Budhram, Rawndell Clementson. Demetri Chan, Martin Webster, Farouk Abdool, Winston Stoby, Frank Tucker, Niranjan Singh, Britny Mack, Chloe Hunter, Andrea Smith and Shellon Nicholas.
The GAPF will be holding a meeting tomorrow at King’s Plaza on Main Street from 17:00hrs to inform the athletes of further details.
