I would like to react to an article in your Monday’s edition of the Guyana Chronicle captioned: “At last! A wild life haven where all residents are equals.” All the owner of the business cares about is exporting our wildlife for cash, however, when he gets into claiming that he aids in the rescue, care, rehabilitation, conservation, with controlled export of select breeds of wildlife it gets laughable.
It gets more hysterical when he now becomes the savior and protector of animals that are hurt during hunting and are left to die and parent animals, whose young, if not cared for, will eventually die. He would often find them either helpless, sick or on the verge of death during his regular visits to the hinterland regions.
The public knows better. When was the last day the owner flew an aircraft and rescued an injured or sick animal? Stop beating your own drum, it is out of rhythm.
The public knows better
