THE West Indies women are in South Africa ahead of their first taste of action in that country tomorrow. The team is using the experience to get ready for the T20 World Cup later this year.
The first game of the tour will take place at Fort Hare against the Eastern Province Women’s team.Next Wednesday, the West Indies Women will go into the first of three one-day international games against the Proteas, before they take on three Twenty20 internationals beginning March 4.
All the ODI games will be played at the Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium, while the T20s will be in Kingsmead, Durban, wanderers in Johannesburg and Newlands in Cape Town.
The squad to the tournament bears much resemblance to the one that dispatched Pakistan in the Caribbean recently.
