Lyndon Amsterdam elected Ruimveldt Lions Club president

Under the theme Renewing the Spirit of Lionism through Commitment, Dedication and Team Work, Attorney-at-Law, Lion Lyndon Amsterdam, was elected and installed as the new President of Ruimveldt Lions Club for the fiscal year 2010-2011, at a ceremony held recently at the Club’s den in Festival City.
According to a press release, Mr. Amsterdam, in his acceptance speech, urged members of the Lions club to form partnerships with other Lions clubs and work closer with the community to provide quality services.
Other members selected to serve on the Board of Directors included, Lions Tessa Sean, Terrence Dowding and Steve Backer as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vice Presidents, Lion Sean Noel, Secretary, Lion Keith Reynolds, Treasurer, Lions Dickson Tamer, Henry Chester Tail Twister, Steve Naraine, Membership Director and Lions Lloyd Rose, Mickey Anderson, Claude Housty, Frederick Monplaisir, Floyd Mc Donald, Thomas Pinkerton, Dr. Leyland Thompson, and Hewley Nelson, Directors.
The ceremony was conducted by Lion Council chairman Ivor English, and assisted by Lion Sean Noel.
