PAUL Anthony Charles, known to his friends and colleagues as “Joe,” is a dancer, model, choreographer, philanthropist and Guyana’s contestant in the Mr. Caribbean competition kicking off on January 29, 2016.Paul, a 29-year-old, was born on April 20, 1986 in Georgetown under the zodiac sign Taurus- a fact he is sure to mention to you should you engage him in conversation. He is an outspoken, free-flowing person who believes in pursuing everything that you want in life. PAul-2
An example of this free-flowing nature can be found on his body where he has an abstract tattoo as well as his mantra which states: “Live the life you love, love the life you live”. Charles has been involved in the world of dance for twelve years with the Classique Dance Company as a student for seven years and then a teacher for the remaining five and is currently pursuing a diploma in Micro Computer Management at Global Technology. He is also pursuing a business diploma at Computer World. He is an avid reader, loves the outdoors and camping, walking and surrounding himself with the sounds of music so he can rock out with friends, family or by himself.
However, in addition to teaching and studying full-time, this humble and simple man still finds the time to give back by travelling to places such as Berbice, Essequibo, and Bartica as well as around Georgetown to provide counselling, mentoring and dance lessons to interested teens. His love for helping runs deep seeing he is very family-oriented and is currently involved in a building project where he will provide a home for his mother. Paul is a frequent face at many public and private schools where he assists in Schools’ Mashramani Dance competitions. He has represented Guyana on many occasions, has been involved in over 60 productions from Classique and has received numerous awards. The “Buzz” got hold of his resume chronicling some of his achievements:

Paul has stated that after winning the Mr. Caribbean competition, he plans to come home and open a foundation called the PAC Foundation (Paul Anthony Charles) where he can give youths who have dropped out of school an opportunity to use their gifts and callings: whether it be singing, dancing or acting, a chance to finish school.
