Young Mahdia resident remanded

A 23-YEAR-OLD resident of Mahdia was on Wednesday remanded to prison following an attempted murder charge in Court One of the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.Brian Williams, a miner, was not required to plead to the indictable charge which read that on December 20 at Prince Village, Potaro River, with the intent to commit murder he wounded Troy Daniels.
Bail was objected to by Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones who cited the gravity of the charge and the fact that the accused provided the Police with a false address. The miner was remanded and the matter was transferred to the Mahdia Magistrates’ Court for January 18, 2016.
