THE Guyana Badminton Association presentation for the Annual Woodpecker Products Christmas Singles was held at the Guyana Olympic House on Saturday.The GBA is extremely happy that Ms. Fernandes continues to support Badminton, bringing this event into the fifth year.
Persons receiving trophies at the Under-11 boys’ singles level were Omar Samad (1st place), George Ramlall (2nd) and Wang & Ethan Biachini (3rd) while at the Under-11 girls’ side, Gabriela Pertab, Emily Choo-A-Fat and Amelia Balram finished in that order.
Yianni Carpenter collected the first place trophy for the Under-13 Boys Title ahead of Jadon Oodit, while on the distaff end, Siya Persaud and Sudarshani Sooknarine took the top two spots, and joint third place was shared by Sarah Samad and Angelie Balram.
Akili Haynes picked up the first place trophy for the Under-15 Boys Division ahead of Tyrese Jeffrey (2nd) and joint third place in Ransell Ransaroop and Isaac Mallampati.
On the ladies’ end of things, Priyanna Ramdhani and Priyanka Shivnauth picked up first and second respectively.
