Canada-based Guyanese donates to YWCC

TORONTO, Canada – Canada-based Guyanese Pramchand Punwasi, who recently made a financial donation to the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club in support of the club’s activities, has also contributed to another club in the Ancient County. At a recent presentation ceremony prior to his departure for Guyana a few days ago, Punwasi handed over a set of uniforms to former Guyana captain and Young Warriors Cricket Club (YWCC) all-rounder Damodar Daesrath, who also resides in Toronto.
According to Punwasi, who is also the proprietor of Jusmatt Liquidation and Surplus, he’s quite pleased and excited to donate the uniforms to the Young Warriors Cricket Club.
Speaking on behalf of YWCC, of which he’s still a member, Daesrath expressed sincere thanks to Punwsai for his kind gesture.
Prior to migrating to Canada, Daesrath had represented Guyana at both the senior and junior levels. He also donned colours for the Canadian national team and is currently playing for Malton Cricket Club in the annual Toronto and District Cricket Association Elite limited-over tournament.
Punwasi, himself a former club cricketer, is also a member of the Hawaiian Arctic Cricket Club (HACC), which has been dominating the Scarborough Cricketing Association (SCA) Premier League for the past six years.
