JUSTICE Roxanne George-Wiltshire is expected to rule today on the voir dire (trial within a trial) that was conducted in the murder case of Khemraj Bhoodhoo. The smaller trial followed a submission by Senior Counsel Bernard De Santos that the constitutional right of the accused, to a fair trial within a reasonable time, had been breached.
State Prosecutor Latchmie Rahamat replied to that argument yesterday before the judge reserved decision.
