TROY Hollingsworth, 32, who offered to reimburse the victim of a fraud, was yesterday refused bail and remanded to prison by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle. He pleaded guilty to fraudulent conversion, admitting that, on February 22, having been entrusted with $4,000, by Fiona English, he fraudulently converted it into his own use. The defendant claimed that the virtual complainant had made him clean her yard and did not pay him. So, he took the money as payment but is willing to repay her and settle the matter.
He has been given up to February 27 to do so.
