POLICE issued a wanted bulletin, on Sunday, for Compton Greene alias ‘Red Eye’, in connection with a series of armed robberies and the May 17 murder of Arjune Gobin, at Wellington Park, Corentyne, Berbice.
Greene, born on November 26, 1975, is of brown complexion, medium build and five feet eight inches tall. His last known address was Lot 84 Alness Village, Corentyne.
Police said anyone with information that may lead to his arrest is asked to telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 226-2917, 333-2151, 333-2191, 911 or the nearest  station, with the assurance that all information will be treated with strict confidence.
Gobin, 47, a security guard was killed instantly and his employer injured, when they drove into hail of bullets while responding for a call for help from the Alness home of Surendra Ganesh, shortly after 02:00 h last week Monday.
Rajindra Persaud, Manager of Nand Persaud and Company, suffered head injury when a bullet grazed him, as bandits shot at the house in which were Vasantie Ganesh called Sandra and her children.
Police said the gang, about six in number, used a sledge hammer to break into the building but the occupants escaped being hurt in a secured room.
