Trunker gets one year imprisonment

ACTING Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle yesterday sentenced Raymond Mohamed, 40, to one year imprisonment for simple larceny.

The trunker (one who steals from unattended motor vehicles) pleaded guilty to having stolen a discman valued $24,000 and a power supply system worth $5,000 in booty with a total value of $60,000, property of Otanieo King, on February 20.

King said he had parked his vehicle in his yard and could have seen it from a bedroom window when he heard a noise and looked out to see the convict inside.
