70 –yr-old dies at GPH allegedly after oxygen ran out

Winston Watley, 20, of Lot 51 Laing Avenue, Georgetown, told the Guyana Chronicle that his father died at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) yesterday afternoon, and he alleged that this happened  after the oxygen he desperately needed ran out.
Dead is Winston Watley, 70, a former security of GEB Security Service, who succumbed after the oxygen he was attached ran out and left him panting for breath, his son claims.

The young man added that it was about half of an hour before a doctor showed up and pronounced his father dead.
The younger Watley said ever since his dad underwent an eye surgery at GPH he was given an eye drop, one that left his eyes swollen.
He took ill at home early yesterday and they took him to the GPH.
Efforts to contact to the GPH for a comment last night were unsuccessful.
