KEITH Bowhan, 32, of Lot 88 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, was yesterday sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, for break and enter and larceny. He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle and pleaded guilty to breaking into the dwelling house of Albert Williams, on May 4, when he stole one DVD player valued $14,000 and a cordless phone priced at $10,000 amongst booty worth a total of $25,500. Police Corporal Munilall Seetaram, prosecuting, said the prisoner is known to the virtual complainant, who secured his home before his reputed wife later found the back door open and the stolen things missing. The Prosecutor said the items were recovered from a clump of bushes after the burglar showed Police where he had hidden them. Bowhan maintained that he did not break into the building but was given the things to sell.
