THE reputed husband of dead Jairool Rohoman, whose remains were fished out of Canje River Tuesday morning, remained in custody Thursday, as Police continued investigations into her murder.
The 42-year-old woman had left her home last Sunday to visit the now detained man, from whom she was estranged.
But, after she failed to return to Gangaram, a mile away from where she lived at Betsy Ground, her partly clad corpse was found.
A post mortem examination, performed on Wednesday by Dr. Vivikanand Brijmohan, proved inconclusive but it was established that she suffered a wound to the chin, burns to her hands, back and thighs and a bulge to her right eye.
